markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2009 Thanks to noncaloric for this great bonus beer. Pours clear orange with a white head. Nose is malt, honey, sweet citrus, orange, tangerine, some apricot, and a bit of pine. Flavor is sweet malt up front, sweet citrus mid, and slight bitterness in the finish. Pretty good, but not as sweet as I would have imagined having been brewed with orange peel. Medium bodied, nice IPA. bhensonb (4180), Woodland, California, USA Oct 1, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours clear copper with a three finger bubbly beige head. Lots of floral and grapefruit for aroma. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is mild roast caramel with lots of mango? and grapefruit. Finishes nicely bitter. Very impressive IPA. Beerapprentice (110), Hopatcong, New Jersey, USA Sep 15, 2009 Pours a cloudy amber colour with a good sized light beige/tan head. Aroma of tropical fruits such as pineapple, and mango as well as citrus and grapefruit. Flavour of hops, citrus and mango. tucsonsam (24), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 14, 2009 Coppery cloudy pour, very citrusy but not unpleasant. Bitter not a good balance with the hops. Very nice beer. TheEpeeist (1427), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 12, 2009 12 oz bottle, about a year old. Pretty pink brown with a pocked balsa head leaving lacy veils. Nose is caramel and brown sugar with, understandably, just a hint of hops. Medium body with soft but prickly carb. Taste is orange peel and caramel finishing with grapefruit and a smooth bitter bite. Quite interesting; the peel addition has held up well and provides good balance in lieu of the faded hops. Sammy (3933), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 10, 2009 Pours cloudy orange, with fast disappearing white head. Aroma is hoppy, a little orange, and also somewhat funky. Tad above average mouthfeel. Orange soda aftertate. Easy drinker. nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 8, 2009 Draft at the OF. Brown-orange color, looks filtered. Big foamy head. Nice bitter hop aroma. Intense orange/grapefruit bitterness, very nice. The orange peel really helps throw this beer over the top. Solid bitter aftertaste. Some Hopslam-esque intenseness. I love this beer. chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 7, 2009 Ton of oarnge peel zest which makes this a bit acidic but unique. Greal floral, oragne aroma. Nice priced.Enjoyed it most at cellar temperature. Did not do as well out of fridge.
