12 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pour is chill hazed copper ruby with a 2 inch off white head that falls with big bubbles revealing pretty lacing. Aroma of fresh resiney hops, sweet honey and caramel biscuit maltiness. Fresh and lively nose. Taste is the nose, with everything balanced and in harmony. The sweet orange citrus comes through a bit stronger. Palate is medium, nice level of carbonation with a lingering hop dry bitterness. Nice one, thanks for pointing this one out Tyler.

Thanks to alexsdad06 for this bonus beer. Pours a darker orange, rusty color with a somewhat small off-white head. Aroma is very pleasant making the orange peel obvious, but not remotely candylike or cheap. Perhaps there’s also some grapefruit, plantstore funk and a wee bit of sweetened breadcrust. Flavor is bitter citrus, bitter earth, pine, finishing with a huge grapefruit roast bitterness and earthy flavor. Bitterness is stronger than a number of IIPAs. Medium mouthfeel and texturally unremarkable (neither creamy nor slick). Pretty decent, but just not enough to it for me to be satisfied.

Bottled sample via (and shared with) oakbluff. Clear orange in colour with medium-to-strong carbonation. Aromas of candied orange, grassy hops, caramel, and a bit of earth. Flavors are of orange Lifesavers candy, pale and caramel malts, a bit of black pepper, and more grasses. A bit past its prime and perhaps showing a bit poorly in comparison to the Pliny and Blind Pig we drank earlier in the evening. Not bad overall, but not all that great either.

Floral hop aroma with an orange background, incredible aroma. Apearance is also top notch. Golden copper with a thin, off white head. Flavor is a malty caramel with hops of citrus that’s alright but has a slightly metallic touch to it. Palate is spicy and finishes bitter. Overall its a good brew but no orange flavor :(

Thanks to tytoanderso for the bottle. Robust orange color with a medium head. Aroma of oranges and floral hops. Taste a lot of caramel malt to just about balance out the bitter orange peel. Tangy finish. Bitterness get as little overwhealming in the long run, but its a very good and interesting brew.

Amber with medium head. Medium sweet malt fights with tons of citrus that comes across overly bitter and quite astringent. This is a bitter mess. But, thanks Bri! Still appreciate the beer:-)

Bottle @ The Happy Gnome. Pours a clear, bright yellow-orange color; off-white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of crystal malts, dried oranges, and basic sticky citrus and earthy hops in the aroma; crystal-malt dominated. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of bitter citrus and oranges, crystal malts, and basic sweet earthiness at the core; a touch sweet, slightly astringent, and loads of crystal. Lengthy finish; dried oranges, toasty malts, and lasting mineral bitterness; dry and toasty end.

Bottle... Post RBSG ’08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head that retains nicely. Earthy, resinous nose. Full-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Heavily bitter flavor and bone-dry finish. Thanks go out to TheCheeseMan for popping the top on this one!
