Pours a bright clear amber with a short-lived one-finger head that receded to a swirl and left very little lacing. Aroma is dominated by citrus hops, mainly oranges and lemons with a hefty caramel sweetness as well. There’s also a hint of floral hops as well with some pine resin in the nose. The taste has citrus hops up front with oranges leading the way before giving way to the malty backbone. The finish brings in the pine hops and leaves a bitterness between sips. The mouthfeel is sticky and leaves the palate coated with pine resin and orange peel throughout. This is a unique and taste brew from Tyranena and I continue to be impressed by their Brewer’s Gone Wild series. juiceisloose (678), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Pours a dark orange pour with a small, foamy white head that holds steady and leaves good lacing behind in the glass. The aroms is really nice of fresh orange peel and blossoms to go with some lemon zest and grapefruit hops. Some toasted caramel malt provides a good backbone, but does’t overpower the citrus or hops. The flavor is full on fresh oranges with the citrus hops providing nice bitterness. The caramel malts and orange juice add balance to the bitterness without getting too sweet. Medium bodied and smooth and is very easy to drink with a long, orange bitter finish. This is a really good ipa and one I need to get more of. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Apricot and citrus and flowers. Flavor was just a touch under the aromas. But still excellent. swoopjones (1925), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 12oz Bottle. Incredibly juicy and citrus filled aroma, not surprisingly. But it is delightful. There’s a real sensation of orange Sunkist jelly candy. This blends in with some chewy malt and resin-like hop character. Pours a orange, bronzed a touch, with a silky carpet-colored head, lacing somewhat. Flavor is a little random. There’s some good spice-heavy hops, then a dirty orange peel and rotten Florida soil sensation, before the turpentine and pine trees set fire to dry grass. Body holds a good malt balance, but the alcohols are a little fresh. Maybe a touch still for me. Good flavor, good balance, and good discretion in the amount of orange peel used, it’s restrained, yet adds to the citrus character of the beer, melding well with the naturally spicy and grassy flavors of the hops. Thanks Sean! noncaloric (629), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Bottle, tulip. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, raisins. Dark amber pour, thick off-white head, abundant lace. Leads with floral hops, turning towards a mix of bitterness, honey sweetness, and citrus sensations. Mouthfeel is viscous and peppery. Lingering bitter aftertaste still features citrus notes, like grapefruit pulp, with a hint of pine at the end. ucusty (1920), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Good aroma of citrus hops and some orange. Classic IPA taste, bitter hops but with a touch of orange. Couldnt this be considered a fruit beer? Texture is average. Overall a good IPA.
