Bottle, poured into a mug. The ale is clear, light copper, good white head. The hop aroma is strong, citrusy, floral. Lots of hop flavor, high bitterness, citrus, floral, resins, low clean malt flavor. Bitterness lasts a long time. Smooth medium bodied. Wow! I could not discern an orange flavor, but the citrus was there, mixed well with the hops.

12 oz bottle from Archer Liquors. Just couldn’t get myself to like this. Poured a usualy IPA golden orange with nice head and some lace. The aroma was solid, floral, grassy, a bit of pine and malts. The taste was off, somewhat soapy and the bitterness was not working right for me. Too dry... Couldn’t quite get into it.

Strong spicy orange flavor, summery hops aroma, light caramel aromas. Rose colored with a small off white head. Citrus flavors with a slight salty bread like finish. Some pineapple, orange peel is definitely there. Palate is a little thin but a good duration. Pretty good overall.

Slight citrus in the nose. No off flavors. Light golden in color with little head. Fresh and lively citrus flavor, very fruity and tangy. Very refreshing. Bitter aftertaste. A winner.

A golden IPA with a thin resilient lacing white head. A light c-hops aroma, restrained like it was hidden in the malts. In mouth, a light IPA with light and pleasant hops dancing in your mouth, a bit anemic. Good malt base. Medium bodied. On tap at Jerry’s, Chicago, May 16 2009.

On tap @ Happy Gnome. All citrus, all the time. This brew’s aroma is fresh grapefruit, lemon zest, and orange peel...flavor also brings noticeable Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, and Spruce. Really impressive mouthfeel that ensures drinkability + memories. Just sticky enough that you don’t forget about it. Good beer.

TAP: Grapefruit, orange, and pine on the nose, full creamy taste/palate, but not as malt-balanced as it could be. Decent IPA, not in the Two Hearted class though.

This beer was not as aromatic as I would have liked. The orange peel does come through. The other hops they used does complement when the beer is fresh. Make sure you try this fresh
