Very clear light bronze color. Long lasting foam. Fairly nice hop aroma, hinting of lemon and grapefruit, along with a malt character of butter toffee and biscuit. Flavor is quite nice, brightly hoppy with a complex malt character and a good finish. Overall, a nice ale.

Bottle. Poured orange with a decent white head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops. Orange peel is hard to discern from the citrus hops. Taste is also nicely hopped with sweet and toasted malt. Very well balanced IPA. Finish is bitter, though not overly so. Body is smooth and full. Overall, an awesome IPA.

Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Coppery hue with a lasting frothy head and very good lacing upon the glass. The aroma has notes of bread, caramel, pine resin, pear and orange, and a hint of allspice. The taste starts with an interesting restrained hop bitterness but there is still a noticeable acidic nature to be easily found. Balanced well with sweet and pale malting. The finish is where it gets very interesting as the orange peel, pine flowers and clove like flavor attack the formerly balance palate. The mouth feel is sprite and aggressive with a dry chalky and metallic finish, not as refreshing as I hoped honestly. In the end, a solid brew but a bit of a letdown after the nose and appearance. That said, I would love to see what this beer is like from an oak barrel.

Bottle poured into a snifter produced a finger worth of off white head that turned into a thick lace and slid down the glass. The body of the brew was Hazy orange /amber in color. Aromas were balanced in their profile (maybe the bottle age) the hops and malts hitting my nose where very equal. Alas no orange detected at all. Flavors are sweet and bitter at the same time .Again I go with the word balanced. Nice malt sweetness followed by a hop bitter and a dry finish Drinkability is good. I go for a few of these with a spicy meal. I wish the orange was a little more prevalent in the brew considering it was the selling point for me.

Bottle from tytoanderso. Pours hazed orange with a billowing khaki head. Beautiful. The aroma is filled with fruity citrus. The flavor is a bit more balanced but with a great pithy bitter finish. Medium body with some light oil and prickly carbonation. This is a really well made beer, and one of my faves from these guys.

copper pour. Extremely thick mouthfeel--a bit heavier than I like an IPA. Was not a refreshing IPA but more of a substantial sipping beer because of its strength and body. Citrus and pine were definately present but balanced substantially by malt flavor.

Bottle courtesy Buffalohead. Clear coppery orange witha medium off white head and fair lace. Honey and toffee establish themsleves early, supported throughout by a the orange scented citrus background and a dose of pine thrown in. Medium body and carbonation, slightly resinous, yet with a silky mouthfeel and a pleasing dryness. Light caramel flavor with a nice dose of citrus zest that brings on the bitterness and a distinct orange aftertaste. Not the sort of thing that I would think I would like, but this was well done.

This poured deep copper in color with a moderate fluffy white head of fine bubbles. The nose really showed off the orange peel along with corriander and some caramel malt. In the mouth it was medium to full-bodied with nice richness giving way to a dry bitter finish. The orange and lemon showed through in the palate as well.
