bottle....aroma: strong aroma of citrus fruits and mainly grapefruit coming through....appearance: a very clear cinammon amber brown with small off white head....taste: citrusy and pine upfront but everthing just seems to deaden and evolves into a pretty watered-down offering. a very slight astingent finish which should have a little more oomph to it.....i found this one lacking for the most part.

(Bottle) Pours copper, small white head. Hops up front in the aroma with the usual pine and citrus (grapefruit/orange) tones but also some apricot and resin. Quite malty with both toffee and caramel. Flavour starts malty with caramel and toffee but continues very hoppy with citrus and resin tones. Light fruity. Light acid. Light sweet and medium to full bitter. Lingering dry afterbitterness with some caramel stickiness. Rother round but light watery mouthfeel. Medium body. Good but not overly complex.

Thanks to KingpinIPA. Pours amber with a small white head. Smells of sticky hops, citrus and floral. Sweet malts in there as well. Hops are present throughout, balanced by a nice amount of caramel malt. Medium body on this one. This is a good IPA, but not a standout.

Bottle. Says it pours ruby red, but I see it as hazy copper. Small, but creamy white head. Some citrus and grassy/leafy hops initially on the nose, but the creamy, sweet roasted malt almost seems to overpower the hops. Resinous, piny hops begin to develop as the beer opens and warms. The flavor was quite dry. Good balance of dry hops and roasted malt. The dry hops dominate throughout, though. Medium to full bodied. Fairly creamy with a dry, lasting finish.

Sampled from a 12oz bottle. Golden amber colored body. Nose is very sticky, with heavy notes of caramel, and some stinky, peaty, resinous hops, full of pine and chewy oils. Frothy on the tongue, fresh, lively, sticky, with heavy caramel malt and heavy pine and oak flavored hops. Very good.

12 oz bottle, shared by kmweaver. Pours a clear dark copper with a small off-white head that disappeared quickly. No visible carbonation. A nice resiny piney hop aroma with just a slight caramel sweetness barely detectable under all those hops. The flavor is quite bitter, but not especially hoppy with minimal malt sweetness. Very long lingering resiny finish. Mouthfeel is very much like an IPA, no sweetness or malty stickiness, just a resiny piney lingering hop stickiness. Overall, this was pretty awesome, it had all the hops of a Double IPA, but without all the sticky malt sweetness and alcohol of one. This just hit a sweet spot for me, very drinkable.
