Bottle into stem glass; purchased at Discount Liquor, Milwaukee. Glowing brown in the glass with an initially big fizzy head. Aroma is big with C-hops, very nice. Beer produces a glittering small bubbled lacing. Crisp, high acidity with grapefruit light on the tongue; a little brown sugar to let you know there’s a malt backbone. Finish is long and dry, with cloves and bitter hops. Lace is more doily-like as the beer warms. It’s like a less expansive Green Flash IIPA, which is OK I guess since it’s not imperial. The smell is warm and buttery as the beer warms. As it warms, the beer becomes less good. The hops in the finish remain unmetallic. Warm and soft in the end. Overall, it’s tasty and feels nice.

Pour was an ever so slightly hazy copper color with compact, off-white head. Light webs of lacing. The aroma was nice. Toasted malt and caramel underneath powerful, piney hops. Very little citrus noted. The flavor was decent but a little one-dimensional. The piney, oily hops dominated this brew. Very little trace of malt or citrus to balance against the pine onslaught. The mouthfeel was of a nice, medium bodied beer and the finish was expectedly succinct.

12 ounce bottle from Ughsmash
Nice dark orange color with a lasting off white head. Lots of caramel malts to go with lots of pine and grapefruit aroma. The flavor is not as robust as the aroma would lead you to beleive. A bit of a toffee malt flavor, with a mostly a pine hop character. Quite a tongue blistering bitterness. Medium body with the impressing of high carbonation, but I may just be feeling the bitterness. Pretty dry finish. Not too shabby.

Bottled. Dark orangeish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, a lot of orange and other fruity hops. Flavour is fruity hops, grass some toffee and hay. Very mouthdrying thing.

Big thanks to Ugsmash! I’m impressed. Really impressed. This was one seriously kick-ass IPA. This had it all, from top to bottom an excellent IPA that I only wish I could get more of. A beautful beer pours a slightly hazy dark amber color, khaki like, one finger thick head which melted away after a few minutes. After bringing it to light for a bit some red hues come out with a nice mix of brown. Smelling the beer I could get some soft floral hops but after it warmed up the pine and grapefruit comes on really strong. Sweetness permeates the aroma as well, but nothing overpowering just a perfect haromic convergeance with the hops. Sipping the beer I could pick up the summit garlicky/onion character right away, but it had bonded nicely with the pine and juicy grapefruit from the Cascade and Simcoe. Caramel sweetness evenly balanced the powerful onslaught of bitterness very nicely and what you are left with is once kick-ass IPA. IMO, every sensory profile was done exceedingly well. Kudos to the guys at Tyranena. Looking forward to trying their other beers.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar. Pour is clear orange amber with nice carbonation and a one inch off white head. Aroma is grapefruit citrus / pine hops and just a touch of resiny earthiness. Taste is a lot of grapefruit all the way through, particularly in the finish - which lingers. Despite the big hop presence, there is an earthy malt present in the backbone. One of the fuller bodied IPA’s I have had. Thanks Tom, would love to have this all the time.

Bottle: The aroma is a combination fo pine, fruit, and caramel. It pours a slightly hazy reddish-orange with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with caramel and very faint fruitiness. The finish is moderately hoppy with pine, floral, and citrus hops that really lingers on the palate. It’s medium bodied and a tad sticky with soft carbonation.

(Bottle) Received in a trade from Ughsmash. Pours a very large foamy off-white head with a deep orange body. Nose of pleasant yet subtle piney hops. Flavour is biting and orangy. Decent malt balance tapering to a bitter finish. Very good.
