Poured a deeper (and had a very light haze to it) amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, and light caramel. Tastes of oranges, pine, caramel, and grapefruit. Nicely bitter with a lighter sweet balance. hopscotch (5537), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Bottle... Mostly clear, brilliant orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head and excellent retention. Earthy nose of bitter herbs, black pepper, tropical and citrus fruits, pine tree bark and ethanol. Unlike their Bitter Woman IPA, this baby is well-balanced with a sturdy enough caramel malt backbone to knock down the violently bitter hop addition a peg or two. There’s an enjoyable dash of salt thrown into the mix as well. Full-bodied and creamy, then astringent, with tickling carbonation. Lengthy, brutally tannic, dry finish. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Thanks to CaptainCougar for the bottle. Slightly hazy orange with a medium head. Good lacing. Tropical fruit aroma with a caramel undercurrent. Fresh tropical fruit hop flavor that gets a little bitter and harsh at the finish. Not a lot of balancing caramel. Very good. sloth (1681), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle courtesy of footbalm. Medium sized tan head, retention is good and the lacing is fairly abundant and lasting. clear copper colored brew, good looking. Nicely hopped nose, citrus, orangey, lightly flowery with some caramel malts happening also. Body is medium, good carbonation with a light oilyness/resinous. medium sweet malt flavors combined with plenty of juicey, citrusy, fruity hops to balance it out, maybe some piney notes also. Finish is fairly dry, fruity and largely hoppy with a loving hop bite to top it off. The more i drink Tyranenas brews the more impressed i become with this brewery, solid products indeed. Thanks Eric! chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Great flavor but not over the top bite like Tyr’s other grand Impy PA bids. Less alcohol may be the reason. Immensely drinkable, just lacks the long killer finish. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2007 I’m not sure what’s "Wild" about this one (It’s from the Brewers Gone Wild series), but it is a solid IPA. The body’s a deep orange/amber with a bunch of swirlies in it. Odd, this being a "new" release. The off white head shrinks quickly, but a good lacing is maintained. There’s a strong hop aroma of pine and grapefruit zest over caramel sweetness. Medium bodied. The hops overwhelm the malts in the flavor, and if this was much stronger it would be in the DIPA category. As it is, it finishes on a sturdy bitter note, pine, grapefruit, earth. Pretty good.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Monger: Poured a clean brown color ale with a medium foamy head with some good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of citrus hops is dominating with a subtle base of caramel malt. Taste is dominated by some nice citrus and bitter malt with a base of caramel malt that could be more important in order to provide a more balance beer. Body is about average with some adequate carbonation. Overall, I thought his was interesting but fell a bit short of the great staple of the style. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Golden brown body with a medium head. Aroma is of..hmmm...hops? Yep. Definitely a pine hop aroma on this one. The taste is very straightforward. Good solid bitterness and malt balance. I have to agree with the below review from muzzlehatch and say that the taste was indeed too harsh. An average IPA in my opinion.
