Would be a great session beer! Bockyhorsey (2528), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Aroma to my surprise had a roated burnt aroma to it. Orange body color with white head. Flavor was of mild hops and almost watery. Refreshing on the palate a decent beer. biermensch (64), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2005 On tap (at my house - apparently Tyranena couldn’t keep up with demand for Bitter Woman). I find this to be a satisfying session beer. Yes, it could be bolder, but it fits well in its niche. Stone Tepee iw well-balanced, if somewhat subdued. Hop flavors prevail, but are not excessive. Decent malt to round things out. This beer does not have the roast (burnt?) malt taste of Bitter Woman. A great compromise beer for hop heads and their lager-leaning friends. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 22, 2005 Nice clear amber with a medium white head with good lacing and retention. Faint aroma of bitter hops, light malt and a touch of sour grass. Flavor is dominated with hop bitterness, some citrus but not Cascade-like. Dash of caramel somewhere in there. Malt is there but not enough to support the hop bitterness. A decent bitter that does not threaten to break into the list of top American pales any time soon. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2005 Pours dirty golden with nice white head. Aroma has a musty hop bitterness to it. Slightly oxidized. Flavor is grassy hops up front with very faint malt backbone. Some astringency in finish. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Sweet, bready and grainy malts are nicely balanced by the grassy and mildly bitter hoppiness. Bitterness builds over several sips to retain some degree of permanency in the aftertaste, but so does the sweetness, and it gets a bit tiring on the palate after awhile. Mildly grassy hops, a moderately sweet breadiness, and plenty of corn/grain maltiness make up the major components of the nose. Medium bodied, gently carbonated, but zesty and somewhat crisp in the finish. Medium golden in color and somewhat hazy, the carbonation bubbles form on the side of the glass before breaking loose and rising through the beer. The whitish head rises to nearly an inch in height before settling to a thin, complete layer. The glass is decorated by large patches of delicate lacing. I think I’d prefer the hops to either be more "hoppy" or less bitter, and for the sweetness to be toned down a bit, but it’s not a bad beer as is, just not something I’m enthusiastic about either. This golden-orange brew is a smooth, skillful balance between the citric hops and the malt, making for an enjoyable drinking experience. Very nice.
