This golden-orange brew is a smooth, skillful balance between the citric hops and the malt, making for an enjoyable drinking experience. Very nice.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2005 Bottled. Poured a nice deep golden with a slightly reddish hue. Small, thin, bubbly white head. Pine and citrus aromas come through as well as a touch of mild butterscotch. Solid hops are present and it finish with a mild bitterness. I have had two of this brewers beers and both have been solid. RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2005 Surprisingly well made APA...very respectable Cascade hoppiness with citrus orange and grapefruit. But also nicey balanced by a solid base note of caramel maltiness. I will drink these whenever available. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Clear, magnifying orange in color with a foamy, sudsy, nearly orange and 1/3" tall head. Nice sticky lace clings to the sides of the tulip. Aroma produces grapefruit, papaya and oranges with a touch of lovely sweet honeysuckle rose. Crisp first palate hit and then a very flavorful citric surge comes calling. After the honey and floral combo move in and semi-aggressively recede, we transition to a potato bread yeast composure. Medium bodied and splendidly balance - it could give a number of IPAs a run for the money. Finishes with orange sprits on unsalted potato chips. Underrated. amberale1 (16), Janesville, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Sampled at Tyranena Brewery. Rather light in color. This is not a bad beer, but I am not a fan of Pale Ales, including this one. Too bitter for me. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Sampled on tap at Tyranena on 9/10/05. This beer pours to a lighter color than the Headless Man. Mostly a dark straw color with a white head. The flavor is a nicely hopped APA. Almost a touch too light. It’s nicely bitter. The aroma has floral hops and a caramel malt. This is a decent APA. The palate is so-so. Needs to be bigger in all aspects. twindadplus2 (415), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2005 12 oz. bottle at Miller park. Medium amber with a small head. Aroma of pine and tangy citrus with a sweet malt background. Flavor is tart grapefruit and pine with a light hint of caramel. Nice bitter hops finish. APA’s are not my favorite style but this was all right. hopdog (5601), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
