Pours a yellowish golden color with lasting beige head and nice lacing. Smell is lightly hoppy and yeasty with fruity notes. Taste is peach apricot fruitiness and a definite yeastiness that isn’t too common in pale ales. Still I enjoy the flavor of this one and it has a definite apricot flavor to it and a nice lingering bitterness. Nicely sessionable and a unique pale ale. Full body and good carbonation. Nice beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours an average amber with a slightly lively body and a quickly-fading head of off-white. Aroma is peachy malt, with just a hint of orange and apple. Flavor is malty and slightly sweet with quick sour offsets. I sense it wants to be mouth-puckeringly sour but the malt is too strong for the hops to make much of a sound other than a yelp. Average mouthfeel, but very prickly along the tongue. Not a bad beer; I’d take this to a party. Tripplebrew (496), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Pours a clear amber copper with thick white head. Aroma is metallic pine-like hops. Very earthy aromas. Flavor is hops with strange notes of vanilla that take away the hop bite. A mild pepper without the spice. Strange berry notes. pj1855 (157), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Pine hoppy aroma. Initially sweet with a hoppy finish. Really well balanced over all. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

Lots of earthy APA hop qualities, with a thin to medium toasty malt backbone. A pretty solid beer. Lots of bitter hop character, and the relatively alcohol keeps it being an easy drinker. A touch less complex and quality tasting than a world-class APA. mcjay (303), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA

aroma of pale malts, floral hops and citrus.
Taste caramel malts, spicy- peppery with floral hops. Smooth mouthfeel, almost butterscotch with a bitter hops finish.
