One inch lacy white head that hangs around. Hoppy/citrusy aroma. Grapefruit taste with acidic finish, somewhat tart. Malt somewhat evident, alcohol a little noticeable too. Not a bad APA though. Pours a medium gold with a lasting white head.
Full malt aroma, flowery hops.
The malt sweetness tries to come through but is held back by the more powerful bitterness form the hops.
Dryness from the hops comes in at the finish. Dry palate. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA

Grassy and flowery aroma, hint of sweet malt. Taste is a little subdued. Good sweet malt presence, nice bitterness and dry. A little watery. Decent. Petrucci914 (583), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Poured a crisp gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy, some bready, and a hint of mint or chlorine. Taste is slightly hoppy and malty, with some weird type of mint or chlorine going on.........almost brackish in a sense. Not really sure about this one. Are they using some funky water or something? Headbanger (1589), Aurora, Illinois, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 8, 2008 12oz bottle - Poured hazy antique gold color with small head. Nose is very bread like with hint of sweet caramel malt. Taste is nice hop smoothness at first and turns to rotten hop aftertaste. Would not by this brew again due to horrible hop pellet aftertaste. All the advertising these guys have in the Great Lakes Brewing News, and this beer still hasn’t a hundred raters? Well! Yeasty smell upon opening. Bottle conditioned, perhaps? Lots of floaties in glass, so it’s at least lightly filtered. Light hop smell in the glass, again that whiff of chlorine I had with their Three Beaches… or is that the flu I seem to be catching? Clingy, lacy white pale ale foam over a golden body. Taste has a sharp hop bitterness right up front. Not the overwhelming punch of PNW’s, but judiciously used hop spiciness, delivered with more carbonation than the glass seems to show. Certainly goes down nice, even on my slight sore throat. Sweet pale ale malts can be picked out, very little Crystal, I think. Touch of ale fruitness. This came in a variety 12-pack of six different Tyranena brews, worth a trip to Kenosha for us flatlanders.
