Bottle. Poured a cloudy light copper with virtually no head, nice lace though. Light hoppy aroma along with some butterscotch. Good balance of slightly flowery and bitter hops on the palate which nicely compliment the fine malt taste. Aftertaste was clean but with a little bit of honey. A very good APA.

Bottle courtesy Bockyhorsey. Pour was hazy amber, nice initial white head, good retention, spotty lacing. The aroma was herbal, earthy, slightly spicey, along with some faint tea bag notes. Flavor followed suit, light grass added in there. Mouthfeel was moderately bodied, slight zing in the finish. Decent amount of stuff going on in this thing for a plain old Am Pale, but not the best at showcasing American Hops if that’s what you’re looking for. Thanks, Bill and Wendy for the opportunity on yet another one. Cheers!

12oz Bottle $6.99 6-Pack Village Wine and Dell, Rice Lake Stone Tepee Pale Ale pours golden with hints of orange and a hardly noticeable haziness. A few streams of carbonation rise to the surface. A one finger white head forms on the pour and fades to a skim coat leaving lacing as it subsides. The head leaves some nice lacing as the beer disappears. Right upfront comes the aroma of doughy/biscuity malts. Very pale malts were used. The hops join quickly with juicy sweet orange and a few squeezes of sweetened grapefruit juice. Fairly straight forward but my mouth is watering regardless. Flavors are right inline with the aromas. Biscuity malts start things off and are the backbone of this pale ale. The orange and grapefruit sweetness come along mid-palate to compliment the malt nicely and balance things out. The only difference from the smell and aroma is a grassy finish on thee swallow that leaves a mild lingering bitterness. Nicely done. This is just me nitpicking but the body is a little too light for my tastes. It’s very close to my preference but I have to pick something out. Very sessionable pale ale. The mouthfeel probably helps the drinkability and the balance definately helps. Tyranena has never let me down and Stone Tepee is no exception. A n easy drinking enjoyable very well balanced pale ale that would have a spot, on a shelf, in my fridge, at all times if available in Illinois. 10/5/07

Good hops smell. White head that dissipates quickly. Hopsy but definately not overpowering. A good American Pale.

Bottle. Nice hoppy aroma: citrus, fresh cut grass and a hint of pine. Pours gold with a thin white head. Nice and hoppy at first, but quickly fades into a watery and grainy concoction. Not over the top by any means, I just wanted this beer to follow through, but it kind of falls flat. Finishes picks up a bit with some nice dry hops. Medium bodied. Decent, but it just loses something in the middle.

Copper color with a thin head. Slight grassy and bitter hop aroma. Quite dry taste without going nuts on the hops. Good session pale ale.

Pours a deep golden, with a nice white head. Nice huge floral bouquetwith a light citrus bite. Very full and powerful mouthfeel with a good dose of citrus and floral hops. Very well balanced, and delicious.
