12 oz bottle shared with toncatcher. Awesome black pour with decent head. Aromas were super coffee. Iced black coffee on the flavor with just enough sweetness to make it a very very tasty brew.

12oz bottle courtesy of Hopscotch-A dark black body with a small tan head and an aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and sweetness. Taste of coffee and chocolate with the body being a little thin. Good tasting brew.

Bottle from Woodman’s East in Madison purchased 5/25. Enjoyed side by side with a 2005 Dark Lord. While very good, this proved to be inferior to the DL, although better in the quality-to-price ratio. Notes of dark roasted coffee and oatmeal on the nose lead into a decidedly (and deliciously) chewy chocolate and coffee beast. Well crafted, with a smooth and sweet finish.

Bottle (Thanks Ughsmash). Pours a deep, dark brown with a tiny tan head. This smelled more like coffee than what I drink in the morning!! Unreal the amount of coffee in the aroma. Also had some traces of oats and dark chocolate. Flavor is VERY roasted coffee, bordering on it being burnt. Very tasty if you like deep, rich, strong coffee.

Bottle thanks to Badbeer and Nolankowal poured a deep dark brownish black color with a tiny tan head. The aroma was fresh roasted coffee beans with some oats, hops, chocolate, toffee and burnt malts. Flavor was almost like eating coffee beans with some oatmeal. The body was a bit thin with not much in the way of carbonation.

Big thanks to Quake1028 for bringing this coffee gone wild beer.

Pours deep brown in color with tan head. This beer has simply a huge coffee aroma. I can sense a light sweetness behind the coffee but that was about it. The flavor starts with big and bold black cup of coffee as well as some burnt malts. Just like the aroma the coffee is simply huge in the taste too. Reminds me a lot of Dunedin’s Coffee Brown Ale. This will go well along side of bacon, eggs and hash browns in the morning. I got no sense of the ABV.

Bottle. Unbelievable Porter. Poured a dark brown with a dark tan head. Aroma of coffee. Taste was complex, deep coffee flavor, subdued sweetness, and a nice malt flavor with a bit of tartness. Great mouthfeel! Excellent beer! I would buy this one again!

Courtesy of Quake1028. Thanks, John. Folgers, Walking into a Starbucks, Juan Valdez’s bag, the smell of Seattle if the entire city caught fire...these thinsg are what this beer smells like. COFFEE!!!! Intense, unrelenting, massive coffe int he aroma. Maybe some chocolate....who knows? My olfactory senses were body slammed by all the coffe. Good thing I love that aroma. The body is dark brown to black and holds a creamy and lasting mocha head. Has a great round mouthfeel that is fairly thick for a porter, but also pretty oily. The fore is coffee and chocolate followed by some very faint dark fruit notes and a steady blast of roasted malt. It’s actually kind of brutish, but as I love coffee so damn much I don’t at all mind being brutalized in this way.
