Ungstrup (10801), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 13, 2007 Bottled. A black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with some notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt. omhper (10008), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2008 Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Pours oily dark black without forming any head. Loads of coffee up front. Sweet and thick, very malty, very roasty with massive amount of coffee. Creamy thick mouthfeel, coffee bean bitter finish. Certainly not shy, hardly refined. More a smack in the face of coffee. Certainly more interesting than balanced. Papsoe (9656), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 28, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. A black beer with a tint of red and a light brown head. Extremely burned, coffeeish and ashy nose. Medium body full of hard burned malts and ashy accents - about a ton of coffee in here. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. 270607 Oakes (6779), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 19, 2007 Very raw beany nose jumps out of the glass. Dark brown, somewhat hazy. The aroma also shows pungent dark chocolate and cookie dough sweetness. Flavour is sweet, with abundant somewhat harsh coffee that is rather abrasive on the tongue. The big malts provide a certain cushion for the harsh, unpleasant vegetal roastiness. joergen (6133), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2007 Bottle.
