Pigfoot (2224), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA May 12, 2008 Hazed golden hue....adequate head...nothin’ special...
inviting nose...nice and floral and lovely...
Taste: snappy wheat feel, nice texture, easy drinking..
good mouthfeel, but, fairly average, not outstanding, sorry to say....
For an easiy palatable wheaten ale, this hits all the marks...no problem here..good "chick" beer, and lord knows we can use a few of those...it’s like a hefe weizen, and yet not so much...I can taste the honey, can appreciate the sweetness, and more than anything, can sympathize with the need to find something for a certain other segment...long may they wave.
fiver29 (276), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle pours golden with a white head. Has a little aroma that is hard to discern whats in it. Taste is over the top sweetness with little hop flavor and more honey than malt sweetness. Light and watery this is not a beer I’ll drink again. thejoeshow (103), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Aug 13, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear, light golden color with a not so impressive head that falls to a lacing ring quickly. Aroma is of slight honey mixes with a bit of grain. Flavor is grainy with a slight touch of honey. Kind of sweet and finishes a little dry and unfinished. Not a bad taste but I have had better. This is not my favorite beer from Tyranena but it is not the worst thing I have drank. IlanMan (514), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pour was light golden with a white head. Aroma was of sweet honey. Flavor was balanced honey with a little bit of spice. Not so much a good blonde ale but a decent summer brew. Probably won’t buy again. amish_caravan (197), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jul 19, 2008 pours golden color with quickly disappearing head. strong aroma of honey while the head was present, but scent changes once the head disappears. more fruit and wheat after the head goes away. taste is of wheat and honey with some spices as well. not a bad beer. iowaherkeye (1375), rocking podunk Marengo!, Iowa, USA Jun 29, 2008 12oz bottle, no date. Clear golden with a 1/2 finger fizzy off-white head, low retention. Aroma of floral honey and sweet cereal grain. Flavor is pretty much identical with a hint of perfume and semi-dry finish with bitterness peaking around a 2. Moderate prickly/fizzy carbonation with a light body. Kinda sucky, but inoffensive. I could see this having some refreshing qualities in the summer.
