Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 16, 2008 On tap. Hazy amber golden with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Lightly sweet yet fresh cherry aroma. Medium body, a little high in carbonation, fairly natural cherry accents. Lightly dry and astringent finish. 280608 omhper (11030), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 3, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Served with a cherry in the glass. Cloudy pale brownish amber, rich but flocky head. Fresh sour cherry aroma. Medium sweet with some hay-like hops. The very obvious cherry character clashes with the pilsener like characterics (I’d guess the Duchmaus is the base beer), and it finishes with a combination of hay-like bitternes and cherry jam. yespr (8540), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 11, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange bottom of the glass holds a cherry and a lacing creamy white head. Aroma is mild acidic cherry and yeasty. Flavour is mild almondy cherry, mild and towards medium dry. Light yeasty spice note to a medium dry malt base and light cherry fruity flavour into a lingering mixed finish. oh6gdx (6583), Vaasa, Finland Jul 9, 2008 Draught. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sour cherry mised with barnyard and rubber. Flavour is the same, but without the rubber. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 9, 2008 On tap at the brewery, day 2 of RBESG. Cloudy reddy orange with thin lasting beige head. Yes, it has a cherry aroma, slightly chalky. NOt overly artificial. I’d prefer a sweet commercial Belgian kriek to this. Bit of sourness. but not great.
