Commercial Description:

Uberach Le Klintz has an exceptional aroma and appearance. However, the taste is only mediocre and the finish is horrible. I would never drink this again.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with a short-lived off white head. The aroma is nutty and earthy, with a slight burnt malt note. The taste has some deep dark fruit and some dry nuttiness. A short finish. Drinkable but uneventful.

Great looking beer, dark brown in color with a lacy white head. Also a wonderful aroma that very much reminded me a stout with the heavy overtones of coffee and chocolate. Unfortunately the flavor was thin and completely unremarkable, and the finish just so ho-hum. Another very French beer.

Subtle and refreshing. not bitter at all. very much a summer beer. the flavor is hardly overpowering which, for a beer like this, makes sense.

pours a cloudy dark brown colour with a little beige foam; aroma of licorice and milk chocolate with notes of honey; soft palate, medium-bodied, low (if any) bitterness; the finish falls quite short with light malty and caramelish notes - subtle
