DougShoemaker (2560), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 Bottle @ Mondial 2008,
Slight fruit nose, some good malt, hazy deep amber, a tiny cream head. Taste a mild fruit, malt and some hops buzz, light bodied, a very pleasant bitterness, and as the brochure describes it, puckeringly dry. Most pleasurable indeed!
tiggmtl (4169), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 18, 2006 Strong spices, ashy, light floral character with plenty of dughy yeast in the aroma. Opaque tan brown coloured body is topped by a low, off white head that recedes to a lasting cover with some lace. Doughy, floral, raw flour flavour - yeast is very dominant over the sweet, fruity base with very mild bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. Sampled at Mondial 2006. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Aug 28, 2006 Bottle. Dark orange colour, very cloudy. Looks a bit muddy, has floaties. The bottom of the bottle is dark grey/brown, quite muddy. Small head. The flavour is fruity, must be berries. Some sort of red berries, closer to raspberry than strawberry or cherry. Thick mouthfeel. Not very complex, the aftertaste is quite absent. Lubiere (3182), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 18, 2006 Milky hazy blonde with a thin white head. Rather herbal, like weed, with lactic notes. In mouth, a harsh taste, with sour cherries. A bad saison, gone crazy. Mondial 2006. MartinT (4307), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2006 Cranberries and various herbs are bored by the dry yeastiness...Milky sweetness makes the rose-powder perfume nearly attractive...The apparent banality of a bread yeast detracts from the talkative fruitiness and spiciness...
