Fruity orangepeel and berry flavoring, heather, fitting bitter edges, dry herbal finish. Sparkling dry mouthfeel. Slowly receding minerally dryness.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Hazy dark amber, bit of UFO’s; with huge, very fine & dense dark beige head, lacy. Wood, yeast, dry malts, some of them coloured, fresh green leaves. BItter à souhait , wood, little smokiness, but above all a WONDERFUL bitterness, achieved, it would seem, with only noble German hops. Medium bodied, chewy, velvety texture. Another superb realisation from my N°1 favourite German brewpub. Danke, Sebastian MoritzF (4950), Bochum, Germany

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2007 3rd LCRBM. Firm flowery and earthy flavor. Long hopbitter aftertaste. Hoparoma with even a hint of smoke. The difference between this beer and the "normal" bottled Uerige isn’t that great. This might be a bit more intense. Bottle at LCRBM3. Dark brown with a slight white head. Awesome grassy hops and tasty alcohol. Nice roasty malt notes with some caramel. Dry finish. Pretty good but not sure the alcohol should be so apparent.
