| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Bottle. The beer pours a clear, amber body under a small, beige head. Caramel and roasted malt notes in the aroma. The flavor has some fruityness too, but mostly caramel and roasted malts. Medium body, dry, with a sweet finish. An easy drinkable beer with a fine flavor, nothing special though. At least not from the bottle. 090821 tgncc (846), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Pours a medium brown, tan head. The aroma is malty, with an unusual hoppiness to it, like noble hops. The flavor follows, with a less than pleasant hoppiness which is like noble hops, or the slightly earthy kind, and bitter fruit. The finish is all noble hops, finishes dry. Unusually thin mouthfeel, too. This is ok, but hardly great. Very unexpected beer experience for this style. madvike (356), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Bottle - Light amber pour with a little white head. The nose is simply sweet and malty--nothing more, nothing less. I loved it; some others at the tasting hated it. I guess I just loved the malt bomb. Tastes caramelly and sweet with a little bitter hops on the finish. It’s a little thin and watery, but overall I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. plovmand (1737), Helsinge, Denmark
