Sampled from a 12 oz brown flip top bottle this beer poured a dark amber-brown color with a small beige head. The aroma was very strong caramel and light fruits. The flavor was strong fruit, caramel and molasses with a nutty undertone and a sour, tangy and nutty finish. There was an off flavor that just did not work for me. Ok.

This is scored high for me becasue this hits my palate right on targert. Smooth tea flavors and a great mouthfeel. Like an English ale, but with a lot of freshness. Bitter, but perfectly balanced for the style. However, it is a simple beer so if you want complexity look elsewhere.

Dark amber pour with a tall beige head. Aroma is floral hops and caramel malt. Nice, deep, caramelly falvor with some leafy hops in the finish. Nice body, good altbier.

Pours light brown, slightly hazy. A tall beige head leaves abundant lace. Aroma is initially faint, opens up into floral notes and caramel. Full-flavored, starts as a real malt bomb, nutty bitterness and and honey-like caramel, fades into a husky grain finish. Somewhat boozy flavor despite the moderate ABV. Medium to full body, warm and slightly tannic on the palate.

I absolutely loved this beer, much in the same way I have loved every other beer I’ve tried from this little brewery. This pours a nice deep amber color, when held up to the light it is virtually the same color as the beer bottle that it came out of. The beer has a very nice large head with plenty of retention and a small lace. The aroma is sweet and malty and just mildly nutty, not overly complex. The flavor however was something to be reckoned with, Immediately the flavor is fruity with tons of deep cherry notes with some raisins. There is a great caramel character and some nuttiness with a bit of alcohol. The beer despite it’s fruity notes and it’s caramel accents remains very dry and has a good bitterness. Very very nice.

5l mini cask @ redlight redlight. Crisp hoppy nose with some spicy sweet malts. Pours cloudy amber with a thick white head. Great bitter hop flavor, very refreshing and crisp, a great summer beer! Very nice hop flavor with some honey caramel malts in the background. Very nice, excellent beer!

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear light amber brown colour, thin off white head. Aroma of metal, light toasted malts, a hint of caramel. Flavour is light malty, some caramel, followed by a sharp, very dry and long lasting metallic bitter finish. A bit less than medium bodied. I like bitter beers, but this is a tad too harsh for my taste.
