Jun 21, 2005 LIght hop aroma and copper in color. Large airy head on initial pour but, quickly fades away. Not much malt taste but hop bitterness is clearly present. Has a nice clean finish.

Aug 3, 2004 Pours a deep amber with aromas of honey, roasted malts and nuts. Flavors of nuts, A slight hoppiness and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slighty sticky aftertaste.

Dec 22, 2004 Light amber colour with a thin head. Nose is malty and creamy, same for the taste. Sweet in the back and fairly round overall. Not bad, drinkable, thats a plus

May 10, 2007 brownish copper body, golden yellow at edges. creamy pillowy off-white head. fresh grassy dry caramel malt and zesty/citrusy orange peel aroma. flavor is mild grainy light caramel malt, slick mouthfeel, light and tangy dry grassy/bitter hop finish.

Apr 7, 2007 Minimal liight tannish head that dissipates quickly. Nice amber brown hue. Fruity and toffee is the aroma that stands out. Medium sweetness that is balanced nicely with medium bitterness. Full body with a nice creamy texture. Somewhat long bitterness in the finish.

Mar 18, 2004 Bottle: Medium brown clear body w/ a light beige lasting head. Toasty Mucich malt aroma w/a light roast and very, very light caramel; Slight floral hop behind everything else as it warms. Flavor starts out w/ toasty malt, very well balanced, but quickly turns pleasantly bitter that lasts well into the finish and aftertaste; light roasty w/ some hop flavor in the finish as well, finishes on the dry side. Very clean and crisp. Light medium body w/ low carbonation and a slightly prickly feeling from CO2, but very smooth overall. This is what I imagined a D. Alt to taste like if I'd ever had one before this point. Very clean and pleasantly bitter; It has Czech Pils rounded bitterness w/ a Munich Dunkel grain characteristic, but lighter and more delicate. Great stuff!

Feb 3, 2005 Pours a clear dark amber with a pillowy tan head. Aroma of smoky malt and a bit of hops. Flavor is surprisingly watery, with some caramel maltiness and German hops in the background. Tastes much less than 6.5%. Finishes sweet and moderately dry.

Nov 2, 2005 Dark amber w/ a tight head that diminishes to a nice ring. Very nicely balanced flavor--a deep munich malt richness balanced w/ a flor nobel hop aroma and a good dash of bitterness. Delectably quaffable and an elegent example of the style. Neato bottle too.
