Very nicely balanced flavor--a deep munich malt richness balanced w/ a flor nobel hop aroma and a good dash of bitterness. Delectably quaffable and an elegent example of the style. Neato bottle too. elihapa (1052), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Bottle, Wurstkuche. Pours amber-brown with a large white head. Aroma is very grassy and herbal, suggesting significant European hops (Saaz, Hallertau) in this brew. Flavor starts with herbs and earthiness upfront, moving nimbly towards a balanced mid-body of malt and dry bitterness. Finish leans dry and semisweet. A solid altbier. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 21, 2006 Bigger, brawner version of the classic Dusseldorf altbier. Like alt, this beer has fantastic hop aroma, clean maltiness, and a zesty and snappy hop bite. Uerige Sticke pours to a beautiful, bright, deep copper color, with a thick white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent, with lots of good herbal/grassy hop aromas, and aromas of toast and nuts. The palate is smooth and round, with clean, smooth toasty and nutty malt flavor. Uerige Sticke finishes with more smooth malt up front, then ends with a zesty burst of herbal/grassy hop bittereness that lingers. I love this beer style, and Uerige to me is the bench mark example of sticke and alt. A must try beer for anyone who loves altbier. jah noth (1017), Rochester, New York, USA
