Aroma of noble hops, maybe Saaz and/or Hallertau and rich caramelly malt. Slightly bitter. Delicious. Mouthfeel is bubbly and light. Finish is slight dry. Great beer! Very nicely balanced flavor--a deep munich malt richness balanced w/ a flor nobel hop aroma and a good dash of bitterness. Delectably quaffable and an elegent example of the style. Neato bottle too. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

Some spalt skunkiness and slight iron taste as well. Grapes, fresh earth and hoppy goodness round things out. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Restrained nose; a little on the fruity side. Smooth, malty taste with just enough of a hoppy bite to keep it interesting. Rich, warming finish; could have kept on drinking this all night. The aroma is huge of toasted bread and malt. In the flavor there is lots of bread and toasted malt flavor with balancing bitterness that tends to linger. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA

The aroma hints of aggressive bitter and noble hops, spicy white wine, toasted caramel malts, and leathery yeast esters. A sharp hoppy taste with a buttery malt undertone. The mouthfeel is so smooth, very nice. Glad we made the trip for this outstanding bier, among the finish in it's genre. Syd (903), Waconia, Minnesota, USA

The aroma is serious malt sweetness. The flavor is drier than the aroma, with some good caramel flavors mixing with the hops as a balance. The palate is rich and almost "sticky". Overall, I could drink a lot of this. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Solid roasted malt flavor, not real sweet, with a good hop counterbalance. Even better than their regular alt.
