Sourish, slightly rubbery nose. A touch of characteristic alty clementine fruit, developing into almost lambic sourness. Tart but appetisingly cereally with fresh wheat after the swallow. A tragedy I only brought one 330cl bottle home and, worse, had to share it. eczematic (1198), Sydney, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2002 Not a very weizeny weizen - it tastes like it’s made with the same yeast as the alt. eggy sulfur in the aroma gives it away. taste is meaty, round, and a bit like peach iced tea - juicy and a tad acidic. a weird one, but i liked it by the end of the glass. oh6gdx (8839), Vasa, Finland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2009 Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy yellow colour, huge white fluffy head. Aroma is wheat, some a bit lagery "malty and hoppy figures" along with some herbs and citrusfruits. Flavour is wheat, yeast, some slight lagery notes as well as some earthyness. Almost wheat meeting Kölsch or something like that. Yet very nice and drinkable.

Fruity nose wih some banana. Medium bodied with spritzy mouthfeel. Evidently estery, but more in the altbier sort of way than the weihenstephaner. Short spritzy finish. A good cross of weizen and altbier. bierkoning (6052), La Tropica, Netherlands
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2005 Brewery tap, unmarked glass. A-typical weizen. I smell and taste hops in stead of the obvious banana character. Absolutely dry with some orange fruit. Likeable and full of character. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland
