Commercial Description:
Pale in comparison to porter, this ale has a rich copper color and a full malt body. Cascade hops create a floral finish.

A nice hop aroma with some caramel in it too. Flavor also has some hops and a graininess with a bit of caramel too. Very nice. One of my new favorite pale ales.

Bottle via douglas88 - thanks! Bottled on 11/28/07 and drunk 05/16/08. Lychee, peach, caramel aroma, reminds a bit of Stone. Copper-orange body with an off-tan head. Lovely caramel and fruit aroma, lots of flattened hops - reminds strongly of a good, strong Barleywine, something of a dull Bigfoot. There’s an enormous amount of flavor here - a powerhouse, and from Utah! Touch of a fumy off-note toward the back detracts, but the long caramel-soaked, hoppy aftertaste more than makes up.

If you love hops this is your beer. Nice and crisp with a super hoppy aroma. Also try the light version, Cutthroat.

12 oz, bottled 04/21/08. Clear, orange-copper, with a two-finger lasting head. Grapefruit and earthy honeycomb nose. Molasses, grapefruit, resin, dried wood and toasty walnut flavors. Near-medium body is smooth, tingly and dry.
