scraff (1667), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2008 12 oz - Purchased at Perfect Pour. Amber, thin creamy white head. Soft floral citrus aromas rest on notes of toasted caramel and grains. Moderately dry floral and orangey citrus flavors balance on a lightly sweetened toffee malt backbone. A very nice hop bitterness is present from start to finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not sure what else you could want from a sessionable pale ale. Well crafted in my book...
BREWMUSKCLES (798), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2008 a bit bright somewhat subdued but adequate representation of a good american pale. good in malt and hop character it has nice body and is paired with small moderate carbonation indicative of good brewing technique. balanced refreshing and again subdued it is demonstrative yet ful of flavor and interestingly complex. the beer has character and ya’ can’t fake that! nice moderate finish that incites desire. ucusty (1213), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2008 Clear amber pour with white head and thick drippy lace. Caramel malts on the nose. Thin bodied. Citrus hop flavor. acrdz (4376), Boulder, Colorado, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Clear copper with an off-white head, multiple layers of sticky lacing left on the glass... performance was well accepted. Nose is quiet and soft caramel malt, some honey notes, some faded, muted hops, mostly picked up as an oxidized orange and wood smell, flavor not much different. Silky but thin, smooth but weak and watery. Missing freshness and vibrancy. Papsoe (10423), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear warm amber golden with an off-white head. Discreet aroma of caramel with a vague whiff of hops. Light-bodied with lightly sweet malts and caramel and a discreet bitterness in the finish. Thin. 180908 omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 25, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber, small head. Fresh citric nose with a dash of vanilla. Medium dry with clean but not hard mouthfeel. Some cookie malt followed by freshening citric bitterness.
