kevin62 (251), New Jersey, USA Aug 27, 2008 Had this from a 12 oz bottle. This beer poured a cloudy golden color with a small almost invisible white head. The aromas were of yeast ,bread, light banana and the beer also had a very light body. The taste just was not that appealing to me with hints of light wheat and citrus. Not one of my favorite Hefeweizens. SpringsLicker (1824), Tennessee, USA Aug 24, 2008 Pours a bit on the clear side for a Hefe, but it does throw up a nice head and has a good deep yellow color to the body.
Malty sweet aroma.
A touch of sourness, some light banana.
Nice full body. ratman197 (2360), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle poured a cloudy golden yellow with a small lingereing ivory head. Aromas of yeast, bread dough and a hint of citrus. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of yeast, bread dough, light citrus and a faint hint of banana with a smooth yeasty finish.
This beer is a far cry from a German Hefe! All it tastes like is bread yeast. It is still drinkable but not very enjoyable. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours deep golden with virtually no head. Nice aroma beginning with a wheat note pulsing over grains and some floral hops. Interesting hoppiness for the style. The taste is sessionable thinness of wheat, tartness, some mild sweetness, floral hops and grainy malts. OK for a hot FL (or UT) day. gunhaver (660), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a copper hue, with a frothy white head, and lots of lacing. Some citrus aromas, slight honey and wheat. Flavor has some foggy wheat notes, soft biscuit. Mellow, doesn’t fit the style very well, but pretty drinkable. Nothing exciting.
