Mar 19, 2002 ahhh the old home town hero, i packed 2 bottols of this black stugg 25 miles just so i could drink it on top of it’s namesake. a chocolate taste is there and very smooth flavor. this is a personal favorate.

Sep 6, 2000 Another top ten porter in my beer book, robust, malts and hops right to the front. Roasty and toasty and maybe a little smokey. Yum.

It pours a nice mahogany color and has a full-bodied malted, slight chocolate, and dry roasted flavor
Topped with a tan creamy head. It’s fairly hoppy for a porter.
This is one of my favorite porters.

Very smokey and roasty. A good clean flavor. Nice deep red color. And a terrific head.
Just a perfect porter in my opinion.
