A 0.33L bottle shared at Janoinen Lohi (thanks FatPhil). <thin white head. A slightly hazy pale golden colour. Roasted malts and slight dryness in the taste. Not very sweet. Hoppiness at the end.

330ml bottle (Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks)
Bright orange. Fruity, but also sour aroma - lemon fresh? Almost urinal. Very sharp palate, carbonation high, and drying in the mouth. Leaves a very fruity hoppy finish. A little thin, but plenty of fruity esters. A touch of alcohol too, alas. A bit unbalanced.

Bottle, 5.8%. Good citric aroma, quite funky. Almost clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is OK malty, quite citric, some white wine. The finish is a bit rough with a hint of stable.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a bubbly white head. Dry brett and citric to wooden dry aroma. Flavour is smooth yeasty and slight brettish, dry and mild acidic. Lingering smooth finish with yeasty and brettish notes. Nice one.

Bottle @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow color with huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, barnyard notes, sharp. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (200608)

A clean, unexciting but friendly blonde with reasonable hop presence and thankfully very restrained spicing. Apparently now brewed at Van Steenberge under contract. I guess we can now expect a cleaner, more consistent, less interesting beer. Drank at Mr. Paeleman’s Bloemenlust cafe in Wetteren. 33cL bottle pours bright gold, clear and sparkling, with nicely laced white head. Nose is sweetish, malty, grass-hoppy. Pleasant. Flavor starts sweet but quickly rides the carbonation into a dry, grassy, moderate bitterness. Great balance between sweet and bitter, but the alcohol shows through a little. Spicing is subtle, as it should be. Well put-together.
