Golden coloured with a pale aroma. Slightly sweet on the palate. Hop finish.
chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Nov 3, 2007 Cask (handpump) , GBBF Day 3, August 2006. As others have mentioned, this was indeed the end of the barrel, and it showed. Golden colour, with a thick rocky head. The aroma wasn’t too clean. Hough I detected some honey note sin there. Dry and thin, with a grainy malt character on the palate and some very listless hops trying to make an impression, but failing. Overall, oh so tired if not entirely undrinkable. I’m sure it can be better than this
Ungstrup (10824), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 12, 2007 Cask at GBBF 2006. A hazy pale orange beer with a bubbly thin off white head. The aroma is quite light with notes of malt and hops - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of citrus, leading to a dry bitter end, but the body is thin. A thin but quite refreshing beer. kook (2035), Perth, Western Australia, Australia Sep 6, 2006 Cask (GBBF 2006): Golden clear with a white head. Slightly grassy nose. A little boring and bland. harrisoni (4896), Ashford, Kent, Kent, England Aug 11, 2006 Cask at GBBF 2006. Gold with thick off white head. Sweetish aroma. Empty in mouth. Bottom of the barrel? Bit of vanilla. Not good.
