Fruity and malty. Smooth, sweetish mouthfeel. Some light, earthy hops. Fairly chewy but surprisingly easy drinking. More like a strong bitter than an old ale. A nice drop.

A mid brown beer with a sourish fruity alcohol aroma. The alcohol does come through later in the taste as does some fruit, but it is a bit thin. ChristianScheffel (4689), Odense, Denmark

Deeply, deeply gorgeous. I could drink gallons of this stuff. Honey, ash, fruit-cake, etc, etc, etc. Flavours oozing with every juicy mouthful. Yummy. Fin (3495), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Red/brown in colour much like the description say’s, very nice aroma, and a wonderful full flavoured pint, plenty of malt not to sweet great depth simple excellent. Uley beers are without doubt superb when served well and are one of my favourite’s I find they have quite a unique taste and they are almost always extremely good. I remember having a brewery trip with Worcester CAMRA there back in the early nineties we were left with a glass and the cellar shown the Old Spot, Uley Bitter and Pigor Mortis (sadly no more) as someone went looking for the brewer who was at home. We had about three hours merrily drinking on a glorious summers day and happily helped ourselves like we were instructed what a wonderful day, we were truly wellied by the time the brewer eventually turned up. Deep brown with reddish tones and a slight beige head. Aroma was very malty, with plenty of red and dark fruits and some almonds. Easy drinking for a 5% beer, the flavour was of more fruit, with some chocolate and a long, bitter finish. I could drink this all day.
