Bottled. A dark mahogany coloured beer with a large but reasonably quick to dissipate whitish head. The aroma is fruity and malty. Some yeasty bread notes. A little boozy. The taste is malty with candy sugar notes. A little hot and noticeable strength. Yeasty and has hints of the sweetness I associate with Ecaussines.

Oct 2, 2008 10 percent well hidden. Nice Belgian ale. Opened with a homemade pizza. Sweetness mixes well with tomato. While not an amazing Belgian ale, a very well balanced one.

Oct 1, 2008 750 ml bottle. Murky brown color, tan head that recedes quickly. Slightly yeasty, earthy aroma with some alcohol. Herbal flavor with alcohol and malts, medium body. Not spectacular, but not unpleasant either.

Sep 11, 2008 Cloudy light brown foam looks good and lasts long. Very dark brown color is clear and a bit reddish. Rich fruity aroma has a hint of plume and raisins and is a little alcoholic. High ABV does not taste at all although it feel nicely warming. Flavor if fruity, spicy and sweet. Oily and rich palate, which makes lips sticky.

Aug 20, 2008 Sweet roasted caramelly aroma. Nicely full body. The dryness in the end suprises, especially when it doesn’t taste very hoppy. Balanced stuff and warms nicely in the winter.

Aug 18, 2008 A 0.75L bottle from Alko shop. Ruby red brownish colour. Pale brown head. Floating particles. Soft mild hoppiness. Also some fresh grass and prunes in the taste. Some syrup in the nose.
