pint_size (1004), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 17, 2007 11-4-07 tap. Thick and murky appearance - a brownish orange amber with no real head. Light bodied, compared to what I was expecting. Hints of caramel in the aroma. Flavor coats the tongue and leaves a strange aftertaste - but not all bad. Fairly decent and I appreciate this beer - it just isnt my favorite style fly (1238), austin, Tejas, USA Nov 6, 2007 Well, prior to placing my lips on this, Brian tells me he thinks it has a near overwhelming phenolic sensation - not his words (think "banana smoothie may have been what he said). I find it "interesting" in the this may not be for me exactly, but I sure as hell am super happy to see the branching out in styles, applaud it and since there’s not a goddam thing wrong with this, it could be someone’s favorite. As for me, I find it "fruity with a nutty aftertaste" - and you can quote me on that. lb4lb (1340), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 4, 2007 Pours a rich, unfiltered cloudy chocolatey muddy brown. Smells mostly of belgian yeast, caramel and chocolate poking out in bits too. Good beer, just not my preferred style. Most likely deserving of a higher score than what I was able to give it. Maintains the belgian character but still has a unique dark rich caramel tone to it. Creamy and nice overall.
