leaparsons (3878), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Murky orange brown with a small head. Aromas are toffee malts with pear. Pear and spices with some yeastiness. Flavours are fruity with caramel malts. Quite yeasty with a kit homebrew character. Possibly a tainted bottle. sm89walt (173), Norwich, Norfolk, England Dec 8, 2007 4.5% bottle from the Little Beer Shop. Pours a deep amber with a slightly off-white head that slowly dissipates. Sweet malty fruit aromas as well as a slight metallic tone and plenty of floral notes. Grassy, floral hop flavours and some smokiness in the background. Crisp and refreshing but seems lacking somewhere hop-wise, making it a touch thin and too delicate in the finish. thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Dec 7, 2007 Bottle, 4.5%, not 5.7%. Cloudy orangey amber with an initial big head. Overly sweet aroma, like from fruit bubblegum. Flavours start and ends with sickly sweetness, some sour notes as well. Appearantly off and one for the zink. Ethereal (869), London, Greater London, England May 6, 2007 500ml bottle, bought in Norfolk in October 2006, drunk May 2007. Bottle conditioned. The bottle had a use by date of July 07, but I think I should have drunk this sooner. It poured orange-amber with no carbonation. Excellent aroma of sherry & perhaps raspberry liqueur. Taste of smoke and hops but felt over-aged. Palate thin, but a nice lingering bitter taste. I’d be keen to try it again, as I feel this wasn’t it at its best. StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Feb 27, 2006 A mid to brown, orange-red beer with only a light head. Very strong citrusy nose with a hint of hop, also slightly floral. The taste follows the aroma with a light bitterness, then the lemony citrus flavour, acompanied by a delicate floral hop flavour in the finish. the aftertaste is light and dry on the mouth. Bottle conditioned, purchased from the brewery’s stall at the 2005 Royal Norfolk Show
