Commercial Description:
This is a Belgian-style double brewed with a traditional coriander, and an uncommon addition of kaffir lime and lemongrass. An amber body, rich, flavorful, absolutely delicious, and entirely too drinkable for a beer that’s 8.5% ABV.

Can. Brown pour. Nice fruity aroma with brown sugar, yeast, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. Flavor is rich and full, good caramel and fruit to go along with the interesting spices.

50cl Can, a gift from a collegue who’s uncle-in-law is one of the brewers, thanks Gijs! Hazy reddish brown colour, dense creamy off white head. Aroma of malts, alcohol, dark fruits, yeast, light lime and lemongrass, which gives the aroma a nice touch. Flavour is malty sweet, dark fruits, some chocolate, alcohol, yeast, light spices with a nice oriental twist to it, light dry bitter finish. Adding the yeast adds a touch of sourness. Soft creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied.

Reddish brown, quite pale for the style. An off-white very big head with good retention leaves lots of lacings. Distinct, freshly tart lemon aromas, some spices and earthy yeast upon a decent caramel malty backbone. The taste is not too impressive. Quite a lot of spices and herbal notes. Citric notes are present, but slightly muted, and add a hint of tartness to the dominating sweetness. I get a very very faint note of funky blanket and stale yeast, and I’m wondering if this bottle is completely healthy. Decent malty flavors of caramel and chocolate, but for a double it’s quite bland and one-sided. The finish is mildly bitter with spices, citric notes and warming phenolic alcohol. An almost burning sensation lingers on in the mouth, and I don’t know what’s causing it. Quite full-bodied and smooth. Good. Interesting and not as weird as it sounds like. But still, it’s a bit edgy and unbalanced. Serving type: can (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

Can 50 cl. Thx Mikkel. Pours a....shiiit be aware this baby likes to flood. Dark amber with a major tanned head. The nose is a bit yeasty and metallic with some lime too. The taste is strange - the inspiration from the belgian doubles is clear but it really doesn´t seem to blend very well with the other exotic stuff. The perfumic sweetness combined with spices from the far east..naaa not really. It is more strange with a funny idea than good imo. The finish is sweet and spicy. Mouthfeel is bubbly with a harsch finish. Wouldn´t serve this to thai-food - or any other kind of food for that matter.

16 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a collapsing off-white head. Citrusy, yeasty and slight wheaty aroma. Spiced and slight caramelish malty. Phenolic yeasty and dry flavoured finish. Dry lasting impression. Light citrusy touch.
