Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2005 A hazy amber beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet spicy, with ginger standing out. The flavor is sweet with very powerful notes of ginger, but also with notes of yeast and alcohol. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 28, 2004 Bottled. Dark amber. Aroma of cinnamon, coriander and honey. Sweet and sugary, full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Notes of almond. Salty finish.
Typical Unibroue. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 3, 2005 (Bottle 34,1 cl) Hazy, dark golden beer with a handsome, creamy head leaving some pretty laces. Slightly herbal aroma. Sweetish and malty with spicy, almost herbal notes - ginger? Very subdued bitterness. 021005 Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 26, 2003 Big, fluffy head. Cloudy, amber, "Maudite"-like appearance. Aroma of juniper, aniseed, celery seeds, rich malts and a hint of alcohol. Piney, junipery flavours mix with fat maltiness, and Unibroue's aggressive yeastiness. Very spicy, but tasty. Stylish, and inventive in the use of such overt spicing in a strong Belgian. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 7, 2005 Bottled.
