nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Oct 24, 2009 Updated: Oct 29, 2009Bottle from late 2007 opened October 2009. Thick reddish-brown with a solid thick head. Aroma has some alcohol in it, and shows it’s a little of course, but also has a very nice dark cherry touch. In some ways I think the aging has really worked well for this one, and I haven’t thought the other Anniversary beers were so impressive in that respect. Sweet, with a tangy yeast and alcohol laced taste. Soft bubbly mouthfeel. Quite an awesome beer. deyholla (502), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Oct 14, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear reddish orange amber with a lasting light brown head. Aroma was full of fruits with a bit of citrus and a bit of tartness. Flavor was a little darker with some caramel notes that balanced nicely with the fruity flavors. There was a bit of an alcohol bite towards the finish. Crash (447), Macomb, Illinois, USA Oct 7, 2009 Aroma was a combination of bread and molasses. Appearance was orange/red with huge fluffy off-white head. Taste was sweet and finished almost sour.
yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 27, 2009 Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color, and topped by a decent off-white head. Some alcohol, caramel and dried fruits, fresh fruits and cellar in the nose. The flavor has a nice bitterness in addition to the caramel, dried and fresh fruits and cellar also found in the aroma, but the alcohol is more like a pleasant warmth in the mouth than a real flavor. Full-bodied and effervescent. Bitter finish with some cellar. A nice beer, blending flavors in a lovely way. 090724 Geokkjer (256), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 24, 2009 75 cl. bottle.Pours a nice amber with a white head.Aroma of alcohol, prune and dried fruit.Flavor is sweet caramel ,dried fruit with some spice.Full bodied and very smooth.Complex flavors and aroma ,very nice. jodah52 (47), Michigan, USA Sep 20, 2009 Deep gold, fluffy white head. Aromas of all the fruits of autumn, roasted and spiced. Nose is musky and sweet; flavor is slightly sweet and spicy with a hint of warming alchohol. Deep characteristics of a belgian tripel. Excellent. patrickfannon (270), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 18, 2009 Bottle. Split this amazing brew with James and Dallas. Pours hazy brown with an off-white head. Gorgeous appearance.
