| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Deep orange color and a foamy white head. Fruity as hell smell that overwhelms the nostrils. Pretty thick palate. All encompassing flavor, hits every tastebud. Leaves some aftertaste. Wicked amount of roasted malts, but they don’t taste like a stout or a porter, rather something else. Dark fruit is most predominant. Caramel! Whoo. A unique as hell beer from a fine brewer. biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

Last of the Unibroues of the evening. Pours a hazy copper amber brew with a thick off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of yeast and roasted dark malt, a touch of chocolate and some dark fruit. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonation with a sweet character of roasted malt, dark fruit and berries with some flowery hops and yeast. Taste is quite sweet, with an aftertaste of yeast, brown sugar and some roasted dark malt. djd07 (751), Houston, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Bottle as shown. Pours a coppepr amber color with a large frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is a pungent caramel malt, raisin and licorice. Good lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet caramel and a nice spicy finish that hides the alcohol well. A very good belgian strong ale from Unibroue. OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2008 [Bottle] Pours dark hazy orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma is bready and sweet; really a lot more yeast heavy than I had expected. Taste is semi-sweet with a lot of yeast again, some malt, and light fruitiness. Medium-thin mouthfeel. A yeast dominant, pretty boring beer.
