This is a good beer a little $$, but it has a great flavor to it. I would recommend this beer to anyone who wants to expand there taste away from domestic ales like Sam Adams

Very much like the 15 - creamy sweet apple malt, I detect a little more funk in this one - was hoping for more

(Long lost rating. Bottle consumed circa late summer 2007.) Reddish brown a deep amber with a fluffy offwhite creamy head. big sweet malt. Not incredibly rich, but round. Fruity apple malt. A bit of light spicing, cinnamon. A bit thin, but low carbonation and not quite watery. Sweet and round malt. Fruity apple tartness. A bit creamy balanced by astringency. A bit tart, slightly acidic blending with the slight alcohol. A relatively dry spicey cinnamon finish. Not bad, I’m sticking a bottle or two in the cellar, why not?

750 pours a cloudy orange amber with a yellow beige head that hangs on. the nose is quite yeasty, yogurt, canned pineapple, and inviting. The flavor is full on Belgian strong ale with all the flavors rather pronounced - ale fruitiness, sweetness, stale hops (in a good way), some funkiness, very little burn for the AVB, overall very tasty. The palate is rather rich and fizzy cleansing. Darn good.

Bottled. Amazing!!! Cloudy Amber COlor with a huge and fluffy beige persistent head; Complex sweety and fruity aroma notes of honey and alcohol, the same for the flavor. But with a medium carbonation, right on point! Mouthfeel is spicy with strong notes of alcohol is percepted.

750ml bottle at cellar temperature. Foamy pour resolves into smoky cinnabar liquid and towering, dirty snowball head… the barmy afterfuzz yields gravity-defying lace horizons befitting cheesy sci-fi paperback cover art. Aroma abounds with leafy, floral caress; the yeasty-salty musk of a drunk Rubenesque chick’s cleavage. Simple tastes of sugarplum and caramel, hot summer beach and lavender. Heady acetone aftertaste. Typical Unibroue mouthfeel: syrupy/fizzy, and finishing relatively clean and fruity. Although alcohol-forward, one of this Canadian brewer’s blander, less inspiring products.

Cloudy amber appearance with a large beige head and nice lacng. Yeasty aroma paired up with sweet malts and ripe fruit. Multilayered taste; brown sugar sweetness, subtle spicyness and dark fruit. Sweetness lingers through to the long lasting finish.
