Hazy dark ruby colour. Big dusty Unibroue yeast aroma - toasty, plums, walnuts, foot. Sweet, almost fresh flavour - date, brown sugar character. Flowery esters, light plum, prune leading to a very sticky, thick finish. An amalgam of Unibroues past.

Brussels lace clung to the side of the glass well after I finished drinking this honey, amber beer. Warm bread with clove honey smell. The tight carbonation gives this a nice refreshing fizz. Slight spice is noted as an aftertaste.

Deeply hazed orange, thick foamy off white head. Complex nose of candied dark fruits and warm spiced honey bread that sit upon an underlying current of vanilla pears and hints of floral earth. Spiced bready flavors gain further complexity and balance as it warms into notes of honeyed pear, hints of licorice, and a soft earthy citric bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry bittersweet finish. Fantastic beer in my opinion. Makes the other Unibroue Anniversary beers look silly...

Bottle. A hazed dark amber to blood orange color with a foamy white head. A candy caramel spiced aroma with a slight burn. A floral, sweet, candy, and light yeasty flavor. Very light on the palate with an intense Belgian-style carbonation.

Slightly hazy amber hue, with a frothy beige head, yeasty, bready dough nose, with some stewed apples fruitiness, hint of cinnamon and nutmeg spiciness, with a raisiny accent, sweet caramelized malt, and a faint toffeeish aroma follows through on a full-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity character, of some candied apple and dark fruits, with a sweet brandy alcoholic mouthfeel, with some biscuity and toasted malts, a touch of cinnamon, cloves spiciness, leading towards an alcoholic, malty, fruity and a faint lingering hop bitterness finish.

Pours nice haze reddish color with a thin brown head...smell is richly spiced with pepper, coriander also some caramel, nutmeg, cloves, apples and pears...so far, I am super impressed...seems a little overcarbonated...taste is also, a little too sweet...caramel and molasses and sugar at first, with a strongly spiced (overly) thing happening towards the finish...pepper, clove, lots of nutmeg, and cardamom...finish is dry and funky with too much conflicting spice flavors...this one was so close, but the finish is what killed it.

Bouteille. Couleur orangée-brun voilée, mousse abondante qui reste, et colle beaucoup au verre. Arôme en levures, épices, esters, légèrement torréfié. Goût de levures, très sucré, caramel, épicé, long. Finale en alcool, très effervescent. Excellent brassin.
