750 mL bottle purchased from Midtown Wine and Spirits in Nashville. Poured a hazy/cloudy amber orange color with a two finger off white head. The aroma was booze, overripe fruit, plums and dates. The flavor was about the same. The overripe fruit, plums and dates were present. The alcohol was well hidden however. The palate was average, with soft carbonation, a chewy mouthfeel and a medium/full body. This was great to try, but I didn’t drink the whole bottle. Way past its prime I’m guessing.

Ruddy caramel orange-brown with a finger of orange tinted tan head. Dry spicy aroma, some sweet caramel. Taste is spritzy, citrus notes, candi sugar, brown sugar, plums, raisins, great stuff.

Wonderfully complex dark strong ale. Raisins, plum and caramel dominate the flavor, with a slight woody hop accent present. Thick, but well carbonated, ale, with a richness throughout that doesn’t reach creaminess. Allspice, grapes, , nutmeg, vanilla, cherries. It is hard to describe all the flavors in this beer. Who needs wine.

750ml Caged/Corked Been sitting on this one for over a year. Poured into a Unibroue chalice a nice dark golden orange color, awesome carbonation (huge loud pop on opening), nice one-finger creamy off-white head, lots of small islands and sticky lacing. The nose is malty/yeast, good dose of spices, and slight caramel. The taste is slightly sweet at first, malty/yeasty, just the right touch of spices, and caramel. Medium body, well rounded/complex brew. Very drinkable, another one in the line of great brew’s from Unibroue.

Thanks Tom! Good looking burgundy body with a rich off-white head. Dark fruit, chocolate, and spice in the nose. The taste is quite sweet but balanced, and the age has done this one some favors. The yeast is under control and kept in check, and overall it is very easy drinking Belgian. I think I only like Unibroue beers with age on them..

Pours clear copper with a nice off-white head. Big fruity nose. Fruity-sweet in the mouth. Execllent carbonation. Bitterness in the finish as it warms. Unibroue delivers again.

I was amazed that they still had this at the package store so i had to pick up a bottle. The color is a cloudy orange amber with a thin white head. The nose is nice and fruity with citrus and berry hops there is also some hints of apricot. The flavor is very bitter and full of light fruits with a sour funk in the after taste. There is a lot of spice and a bitter kick in the after taste. Overall it is a great brew and it is rich and full bodied.
