Jan 3, 2009 Thanks Tom! Good looking burgundy body with a rich off-white head. Dark fruit, chocolate, and spice in the nose. The taste is quite sweet but balanced, and the age has done this one some favors. The yeast is under control and kept in check, and overall it is very easy drinking Belgian. I think I only like Unibroue beers with age on them..

Dec 30, 2008 Pours clear copper with a nice off-white head. Big fruity nose. Fruity-sweet in the mouth. Execllent carbonation. Bitterness in the finish as it warms. Unibroue delivers again.

Dec 11, 2008 I was amazed that they still had this at the package store so i had to pick up a bottle. The color is a cloudy orange amber with a thin white head. The nose is nice and fruity with citrus and berry hops there is also some hints of apricot. The flavor is very bitter and full of light fruits with a sour funk in the after taste. There is a lot of spice and a bitter kick in the after taste. Overall it is a great brew and it is rich and full bodied.

Nov 27, 2008 This beer, while not too bad, was not really enjoyable to drink. It was too much. The sweetness and bitterness did not complement each other well, but instead worked together in creating abhorrence. Despite the intensity of this beer, there was not really any stand out malt or yeast flavor. Lively mouthfeel. All around harsh. Yeast definitely contributed to the harsh kick.

Nov 20, 2008 750mL (how else does is come?). Pours a hazy apricot colour with a dense, creamy beige head that retains well, fading to a solid cap. The nose is pleasantly fruity with notes of tropical fruits, orange cream, mild pepper, tobacco, coriander and loads of other sweet esters. The flavour is of zesty citrus, peppery spice, soft honey, tropical fruits, caramel, raisins and aromatic saaz. The mouthfeel is creamy, full and the finish is warming and long. This is just another brilliant Belgian interpretation from an amazing brewery. Very complex and worth every penny.
