Lunkie (1006), Glen Iris, Australia Jun 26, 2008 Sweet malt hop aroma with flowers. Murky light brown colour with good head and lacing. Sweet malt flavour with chocolate. Smooth palate. Very complex flavour. But very drinkable.
Dredd (366), Ormond, Australia Oct 9, 2008 After two years of bottle age, this has matured perfectly. Sweet toffee and brown sugar aroma, pour is light brown hue with a solid beige head. Flavour is burnt sugar, ultra stewed fruits and long bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is good with a creamy texure that implies vanilla that may or may not be there. At no point does this one let it out of the bag that it is 10%.
Another well crafter Unibroue beer. CaryTheDude (282), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 8, 2008 Very nice. Lotsa head, malt of up front, hoppy finish, and let’s do this. Diggin it. mjfleming23 (21), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 25, 2008 Had this as part of a Unibroue tasting dinner. Poured a deep amber with a thick head. Aromas of malt, oak, and alcohol. Taste is complex, fruity, and malty. markwise (287), Satellite of Love, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Thanks to kiefdog for the share. Pours caramel color with a strong sugary candy apple caramel aroma. Great sugary sweetness with a granny smith bite. Finishes sweet and sticks around. Incredibly smooth beer for not even 2 years old. keepersj12 (423), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Sep 23, 2008 This is listed as retired but I was lucky enough to find it at the local beer store. There was a stamp on the bottle that said B2007 so I guess it was from 2007. Wonderful aroma and a beautiful pour. Nice foamy head. Great sweet flavor never reveals the alcohol hidden inside. Vanilla, sweet fruit, lots of stuff going on in there. Another fantastic beer from Unibroue.
