| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Hazy beer with a very small head. Low carbonation. Tastes a bit sweetish. Reminds a bit of cherry-gum. A look on the label learns me that the beer over 4 years old is. It’s nicely aged. durhambeer (1233), Durham, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. Hazy light yellow pour with bubbly white head typical of Unibroue beers. Strong nose of orange/lemon, coriander and clove as well as some bubble gum and banana. Wheaty/yeasty. Subtle it ain’t, but I found myself settling into it nicely. Haven’t had too many Belgian whites that truly vary from the style (maybe Bruery Orchard?). This is another typical one, if a bit strongly spiced relatively to others. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy straw with a large, frothy white head. The aroma is the typical orange and coriander notes found in most wits, but it also has a sweetness to the nose that hints at bubble gum and a faint cotton candy. The mouth feel is light and thin with lively carbonation. Oranges, bananas and wheat... the flavor is sweet, clean and fruity with a light wheat finish. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Pours a mildly hazy straw golden color with a thick white fizzy head that dies down after a few seconds, but doesn’t disappear completely. Aroma of apples, citrus, and a bitey yeast, all with a hint of bitter. The flavor is a pretty decent wit, but the aroma has me believing the flavor would be much stronger. Wheat with some definite coriander and lemony citrus notes and clove. Pretty dry in the finish. Not quite as much of the Belgian yeast character as I was looking for. Decent, but not as good as some of their other offerings. smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 8, 2008 I wasn’t too crazy about this one. It had too much of a bitter lemony flavor to it for me. Just average elihapa (1070), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 7, 2008 Pours a light golden color with an energetic white head. Aroma of yeasts, hops, wheat and a touch of citrus. Overall, this is not a bad Belgian white, but something is “empty” about the balance of spices and wheat present in this brew. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Cloudy straw color, no head, light lacing. Citrus and grass aroma. Sweet, thick mouth, fizzy on the tongue, bitter floral hops quickly balanced by thick malt after. Tasty brew, almost like a tripel. I liked this one quite a bit.
