| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2008 750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Pale yellow, lots of haze, volatile white head that rises and falls with similar haste. Light on lacing.
Aroma is a bit understated, with some fresh lemon, non-specific spiciness, and some obvious wheat character.
Flavor is similarly light. Unripe fleshy fruit, lemon, and vinous grape provide tartness and refreshment, while phenolic banana and some dry grain provide the sweetness. Coriander is prevalent. Unfortunately, while these flavors on paper sound like classic witbier, they don’t really come together and balance the same way that they would in the upper echelon of the style.
Mouthfeel is overcarbonated, which helps the refreshment factor, but bulldozes through the flavor. A bit on the insipid side, this beer is pretty easy to drink.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Pours a dark golden color with no head. Only a little froth around the edges. Not very good at all. Rather thin, light and a really nasty smokey flavor showing up. This is just bad. timfoolery (484), California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle from Unibroue multi @ BevMo. How do you say, "this is terrible" in French? Perhaps someone from Unibroue could translate because it was dry and without taste. Not very interesting to say the least. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Poured a golden blond with a moderately sized head. Fruity aroma with a fruity taste. A very dry beer with a tart aftertaste. Not one of Unibroue’s best. milewide (624), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Tastes like a watered down tripel to me. Faint fruity taste. Big head on cloudy blond body. Low alcohol compared to most of the Unibroue line. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008From the bottle, this is nice, but more tart and dry than I am used to for the style. it is slightly hazy gold with a big white head that steadily dissipates to a thin top and leaves only very weak trace of lacing. The aroma is yeasty, raw grain (esp. rice), banana, apples. The taste is lightly fruit with faint hints of banana and spices but more tart citrus quality and a little grain, with a faint hint of sharp bubblegum in the finish. It is quite dry throughout, although a little soft in the very start and becoming more dry and tart in the finish with light cirtus-peach quality. It’s very refreshing and tasty, yet still has definite subtle complexity throughout. It’s not my favourite, but it’s very good.
