Starts with a smell of wheat and spice, with an underlying banana aroma. It pours a wonderful cloudy yellow, with a small head that leaves minimal lacing. Light crisp flavor, refreshing mouthfeel, with some lively carbonation and hints of vanilla, spice, and banana. For the price, this is an amazing beer, and one that fits really well into a summer night.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of citrus, wheat, banana, and coriander. Taste is full of wheat and yeast with soft notes of citrus, coriander, and banana. Medium thin mouthfeel with tingly carbonation and a slightly tart finish. A very good Wit.

The best Canadian Witbier I have tried. Pours hazy pale yellow with big frothy white head. Has some real nice banana, apple and citrus aromas. Has a great creamy mouthfeel and taste is heavy on the wheat and yeast, a little spicyness and has a nice bit of tartness that makes it very refreshing.

The beer pours a light yellow color with a smallish white head. There is some sediment on the bottom of the glass, which works in a dark, cloudy beer...but not in a clear yellow. I couldn’t get past the sediment, thinking as if I dropped some pretzels into the glass. The smell was lemon, yeast and some spice. The taste was a little flat with not much of a mouthfeel and not much on the palate.

Pours a slightly hazed, pale yellow to gold with a big white head, making fizzy noises, dropping off to nothing shortly. Tart apples and lemon. Some yeasty wheaty elements with a light banana sweetness. Thin on the palate with reasonable carbonation, though a bit of creaminess. The flavor is a bit a quencher. Tart apple and lemon again, with some significant wheaty aspects. A bit creamy, with a sharp acidity. Clean flavor leaving a lingering tartness with a bit of a zing left on the tongue afterwards. Not a bad beer for the style. I could drink this cold quite a bit in the summer heat.

A 750ml bottle sampled at The Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul. Pours a hazy pale golden yellow brew with a big white fizzy head and leaves a minimal lacing. Aroma has spicy cirtus, yeast, wheat malt and some corlander. Taste is highly carbonated, light body and some smoothness on the palate. A dry finish and aftertaste.

500ml draft at Cafe Nostalgica. Thick white head was minimal by the time it reached the table. Served with lemon wedge. Cloudy, medium yellow appearance. Light spice and heavy citrus aroma, opposite of the taste which was watery and acidic, like watered down lemon juice. I was expecting more.

Pours a really nice full white head. I honestly have the remnants of a cold right now so I couldn’t pick up a whole lot in the aroma, but it still seemed pleasant. Nice hazy-white/cloudy colour. The initial yeasty taste was definitely a surprise to me (first white beer for me), not sure if it’s good or not. The hints of citrus and other fruits are definitely good, finish and after tastes very good. I like the fact that the straight-up alcoholic taste is almost completely masked by the various tastes in my mouth. I use to live 20 minutes down the road from Chambly, but was way too young to be drinking beer, but I wish I could go back and sample more stuff from Unibroue. Over-all a good beer.
