Commercial Description:
Chambly Noire is a smooth and creamy dark beer with a beige and persistent head. Its torrefaction aromas and slight bitterness enable it to perfectly accompany various fish dishes, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Strong musky Belgian yeast aroma greets you upon the first sip. Maltiness is a common theme throughout the drinking experience, this is followed by dry dark bitter chocolate. There is a bit of dark fruit and a tartness to accompany the musky Belgian yeast. Good representation of the style.

Midnight black pour from bottle. Typical Unibroue smell (what do they do to their beers that make almost all of them smell the same)?? Lightly smokey, toasted nutty taste. Smooth finish. Decent, not great, effort from an excellent brewery.

Dark brown-black, thin dark beige cover. Estery burnt caramel aroma, light cocoa, fruity. Taste is again clovey, fruity, spicy, apples, white wine, prunes, dried fruit.

Nice to see that Unibroue can do a good beer at a lower alcohol as well. This dark brown beer had a soft a refreshing palate. There was an aroma of slight sour apple , white grapes and some nice easy bitterness in the flavor department.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with a thick lasting medium brown head. Aroma was full of dark dried fruits as well as some dark malts. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a bit of an alcohol bite.

(bottle) Black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of sweet malt and citrus hops with dark dry fruits, yeast, and spice. Carbonaceous body but ends a bit thin after the carbonation dissipates. Flavor is sweet and slightly tart like apple, Aftertaste is slightly thin and metallic.

Dark robe with light beige head. No enough foam. A typical Unibroue smell and taste. Spicy. Torrefaction aromas are there but disapears quickly in mouth. Not my favorite Unibroue’s one. Do Mr Charlebois loves it?

750mL bottle - pours a rich black with a medium size off-white head. Aroma is malt and yeast. Flavour is malt, yeast, with a pleasant bitterness and somewhat of a metallic feel. A bit watered down. Quite disappointing for Unibroue.
