Bottle: Pale gold pour with a small, fizzy white head. Aroma is fruity and estery. Little bits of yeast. Flavor is much more fruity, some apple and citrus notes. Light Belgian spices and a underlying yeast presence. Rather soft in intensity.

Part of a blind taste test with Trois Pistoles and La Fin du Monde. My least favorite of the three. Still good though. One thing that stood out was the effervescent nature of the beer. Alcohol was a little too strong to be enjoyed, especially compared to the other two I was trying.

A super citrus blast, unexpected at first, but palatable once you’re used to it. A bit too much of a wine-like taste in there, though. Upon second attempt, a year later, not so happy with it.

Not bad but falls short of the last Unibroue I tried (Trois Pistoles). Pours a hazy orange color topped with a thick white head. The aroma is nice, that of a strong orange juice. Fruity, floral, yeasty and a bit sour and tangy tasting. High alcohol content, and they do a decent job hiding it. It’s a good beer but not a great one.

pours a cloudy dark yellow with a huge three finger fluffy off white head. aroma is Belgian yeast and some hops with lemon and melon. has a medium body with descent lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. the 9% abv is well hidden and not bad of a beer. a more fruity duvel.

This beer had been languishing in my fridge for a bit, and i regret that I’d overlooked it. It is spicey, full-bodied, tripel-like, and pretty good, despite the unknown age of this particular example. Appearance wasn’t great. There was a lot of Sprite/7-Up looking head initially, which quickly faded to a scummy coating. Aroma is quite spicey, like clove and coriander. Flavor is a bit over-sweet, but offers nice spiciness and some zesty citrusness. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky. Pretty good. I would recommend this beer. I believe I bought this bottle on New Year’s Day at Koppa’s Food on Farwell Ave in Milwaukee (across from Comet Cafe).

crystal clear golden with a great fluffy white head too bad it disappears. good lacing. bread coriander and cinnamon dominate the aroma with interesting underlying notes of apple and vanilla. very interesting aroma. great balanced sweet tart spicy flavor. apples coriander cinnamon. reminds me of a bowl of granola with some apples in the morning. finish at first dominated by sweet tart dry apple with light spices leading into a great harmonious bread apple spice finish. full body lively carbonation. great beer. apple cinnamon bread pudding in a bottle?
